End of Internet Explorer 11 Support

In accordance with the Microsoft’s Internet Explorer support lifecycle policy, we will be discontinuing support for Internet Explorer 11 effective 15 June 2022. While we do not expect features to immediately break in Internet Explorer on this date, we will no longer provide support for problems that occur when accessing the site through this browser (or any other third-party browser that may embed Internet Explorer technology).

We recommend that Windows users upgrade to a more modern web browser, such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox. You may need to contact your local IT department for assistance in installing an alternative web browser. It is also possible to access certain features using the web browser on modern smartphone and tablet devices.

Updated Data Privacy and Protection Policy

As part of continued efforts to improve the Plexus e-Learning websites, and in support of the EU General Data Protection Directive coming into effect later this month, we released an updated Data Privacy and Protection Policy. This new policy provides clearer information about what personal data is collected and processed, the purpose of collecting that data, and what rights you may have related to that data. The updated policy also includes additional information about the Plexus e-Learning websites’ use of cookies and other similar technological measures that assist us in identifying you when you access our sites. Although these updates were intended to address the requirements of the new EU regulation, we are pleased to extend the same data privacy protections to all users worldwide. We invite everyone to review the new policy at their earliest convenience, and to contact us regarding any questions or concerns.

End of Flash Player 9 Support

Effective 29 March 2011, the Plexus e-Learning Platform will no longer support Adobe Flash Player 9, and will require all users to use Flash Player 10.

In early-February 2011, Adobe announced that support for Flash Player 9 was being discontinued. Out-dated software may contain security vulnerabilities that could put end-users at risk.

Internet statistics suggest that nearly everyone has already updated to a version of Flash Player 10 (less than 2% still use Flash Player 9), so we do not expect this change will impact very many people.  If you wish to test your computer, please visit the Adobe Flash Player Information Page and consult the “Version Information” box presented on the screen.  If your version number begins with a 10, your computer is already updated, and you do not need to make any further changes.  If your version number beings with a 9, please visit the Flash Player Download Page or contact your local IT Administrator to perform the update.

As of 29 March 2011, users who attempt to connect to the Plexus e-Learning site and still have Flash Player 9 installed will be automatically presented with a message requiring them to update.
